Q.  Does my ATV need to be licenced and insured?

A.  Yes, the OFATV requires all members machines to be licenced and insured.

Q.  How old do you have to be to drive on an OFATV trail?

A.  The OFATV requires drivers to 12 years of age to drive on their trails.

Q.  Where do I get a map of your trails? 

A. The OFATV is currently gathering maps from all the member clubs to be posted on their website.  The GLATV map is posted at www.ofatv.org. or if you would like a map of the GLATV trails and you are an OFATV member, please email glatvtrails@rogers.com and a copy will be forwarded to you. You can also watch the website and forum for upcoming rides and events.  A posting on the forum stating you are interested in going for a ride will usually get a few takers.

Q.  How many kilometers of trails do you have?

A.  The GLATV club currently has approximately 55 km of trails.  Trail development is one of our top priorities and more trails should be open this summer.

Q.  Do I need some kind of pass in order to ride on your trails?

A.  Yes.  Our trails are signed with the OFATV and all machines are required to have a current OFATV membership.  You may also purchase a 3 day temporary pass if order to try out the trails too see if ATVing is for you.

Q.  How do I get an OFATV membership?

A.  You can purchase a membership on the OFATV website, www.ofatv.org.  You may also download an application form from the download section and either fax or mail it to the OFATV office.  You may also contact any member of the GLATV executive for further information.

Q.  Where does my OFATV membership allow me to ride?

A.  An OFATV membership allows you to ride on any OFATV trails anywhere in Ontario.

Q.  How often does your club meet?

A.  Club meeting are held monthly on the 1st Sunday of the month.  Check the news page for the next meeting date.
